Description

Caramel Apple Dump Cake is a classic, fuss-free dessert that combines the tart sweetness of apple pie filling with a buttery, golden cake topping and indulgent ribbons of rich caramel. Perfect for those who crave a warm, comforting treat, this recipe simplifies baking by layering ingredients directly in the pan. It is an ideal crowd-pleaser for busy evenings or casual family gatherings, offering a nostalgic, home-baked flavor that feels like a warm embrace.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional: Extra caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Spread the apple pie filling evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Drizzle the 1/2 cup of caramel sauce evenly over the apple pie filling.
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the apple and caramel layers.
Evenly pour the melted butter over the top of the cake mix, ensuring as much of the dry mix as possible is covered.
Lightly sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the fruit filling is bubbling.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Drizzle with additional caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave until warm. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra touch of decadence.
