Description
These soft, sweet rolls combine a pillowy dough with a tangy cream cheese filling and fresh strawberries. A twist on cinnamon rolls and cheesecake, these are easy to make and perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk, warmed
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
Optional: 1/4 cup sliced almonds for topping
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add warm milk, vegetable oil, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms.
Spray a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
Roll out dough into a rectangle about 12×16 inches.
In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.
Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
Sprinkle diced strawberries on top.
Carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Seal the edges.
Cut the roll into 12 equal slices and place on the baking sheet.
Optional: Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, until golden and baked through.
Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute milk and butter with plant-based alternatives.
Add a light glaze of powdered sugar and milk if desired after baking.
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
