Description

A simple, nostalgic dessert with layers of sweet peaches, fluffy cake mix, and a gooey spiced top. No mixing needed—just dump and bake for a cozy treat perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups canned or fresh sliced peaches in syrup (or 34 fresh peaches, peeled and sliced)
1 (15.25-oz) box yellow or vanilla cake mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon almond extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional, for balance)
Sprinkles or coarse sugar (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish
Layer sliced peaches in the bottom
Evenly sprinkle cake mix over peaches
Pour melted butter evenly across the cake mix
Drizzle almond extract over the top
Sprinkle cinnamon, salt, and optional toppings like sugar or sprinkles
Bake for 25–30 minutes, until golden and bubbly
Cool slightly before serving warm or at room temperature

Notes

For fresh peaches, add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to prevent browning
Add 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch
Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream
Stored in an airtight container, refrigerated for 3–4 days or frozen for up to 1 month
