Ingredients

Scale

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt.
In a large bowl, whisk the pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the donut comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
While cooling, beat the softened cream cheese with the maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth.
Once the donuts are completely cool, dip the tops into the glaze and serve.

Notes

Ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature to achieve a lump-free silkiness in the glaze. If the glaze is too thick, add a teaspoon of milk to reach your desired consistency. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
