A vibrant no-bake dessert combining a nutty Oreo crust, silky cheesecake, quivering strawberry gelatin, and a fresh topping of strawberries and Cool Whip. Perfect for summer gatherings with a layered mix of textures and nostalgic fruit flavors.
Ingredients
1 1/3 cups crushed Oreo cookies (plus extra for topping)
1/3 cup melted butter or margarine
24 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups sour cream or Greek yogurt
1 package (3.4 oz) strawberry gelatin mix
1 1/2 cups boiling water
3 1/2 cups cold water
10 oz Cool Whip or whipped cream
1 1/2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
Instructions
Crush Oreo cookies and mix with melted butter to form a paste
Press mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish to create the base layer
Beat cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, vanilla, and sour cream until smooth
Pour cheesecake layer over the crust and spread evenly
In a bowl, add boiling water to gelatin and stir until dissolved
Mix in cold water, then pour half over the cheesecake layer
Evenly distribute 1/3 cup sliced strawberries into the gelatin layer
Top the remaining gelatin solidly
Add 1 cup sliced strawberries to the gelatin layer
Pour a thin Cool Whip layer on top
Chill for 4 hours or until set
Notes
For a halal option, use gelatin with plant-based or fish-derived certification
Adjust Cool Whip to reduce sugar content if using low-sugar strawberries
Chill for at least 4 hours for optimal texture
Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days
