Description
A creamy, no-bake dessert blending fresh strawberries with ladyfingers soaked in a homemade fruit sauce. Lightly sweetened mascarpone and cream cheese layers create a velvety texture, perfect for summer. Dairy-free or halal alternatives can be substituted.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups mascarpone cheese
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
24 ladyfingers (Savoiardi)
1 1/2 cups pureed fresh strawberries
2 tbsp sugar (for sauce)
Fresh strawberries (for topping)
Instructions
Whip mascarpone, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream and sugar, then gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
Lay half the ladyfingers in a dish; dip them into the strawberry puree (avoid soaking). Place half the mascarpone mixture over them.
Repeat with remaining ladyfingers, strawberry sauce, and mascarpone mixture.
Chill for 4 hours or overnight.
Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving.
Notes
Chill at least 2 hours for best flavor melding.
For non-dairy: substitute mascarpone and cream cheese with vegan alternatives.
Strawberry sauce can be made with 1/4 cup sugar blended into fresh strawberries.
